I believe you must bring your whole self to the table if you want to thrive in today’s crazy world; your personality, your sense of humor, and most importantly, your heart. All of these elements brought me to the field of education. I graduated from Kennesaw State University in 2016 with my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Middle Grades Education in the area of English Language Arts and Reading. During my senior year as an undergraduate, I began pursuing my Master's degree in Special Education. I am an active Gamma Phi Beta alumnae as well as affiliated with Kappa Delta Pi Educational Honor Society (former Recruitment Chair for the Kennesaw State chapter), Delta Epsilon Iota Honor Society, The Society of Collegiate Leadership and Achievement Honor Society, and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. I was awarded Outstanding Student Teacher of the Year in my graduating class as well as earned the 2016 Kappa Delta Pi scholarship to build a classroom library. My student teaching started here at Griffin MS, and I am so proud to say that I became a part of the family after graduation! Additionally, I am the dance teacher for Griffin's first ever Dance Club. I also enjoy participating in the development of our spring musical! You can often find me tutoring in my free time to ensure success for all Griffin students. I am so thrilled for the upcoming school year!
