Students will participate in a timed writing in class. Timed writings help prepare students for state standardized testing (Milestones) and to improve their writing skills.
Pre-write: using the graphic organizer, jot your ideas down for an alternative ending
Short narrative: Write an alternative ending for the myth "Phaethon"
–Begin at the climax of the story
–Use dialogue to project the plot forward
–Minimum 2-3 paragraphs
Don't forget, your Personal Narrative story is due Monday, October 2nd!
